To avoid customs duties, please make sure the value of your package remains under $100 USD.

Packages valued at $150 USD or more, or weighing 20 lbs or more, must be collected within 2 business days to avoid storage fees. For lighter or smaller packages, collection is required within 5 days once the package is ready for pickup or delivery. Storage fees are as follows: Soft packages: 200 JMD per day Large boxes: 350 JMD per day Please note, storage fees accrue daily, including holidays. Packages not collected within 10 days of storage will be considered abandoned and may be auctioned. Additionally, claimed packages left uncollected for up to a month may also be auctioned to recover freight charges and local clearance fees.

Obsidian Ebon Logistics is required to declare the contents and value of each package entering Jamaica through our service. Failure to provide invoices may cause delays at customs, and there is a risk that the customs officer may assign a higher value to your package.

Packages are updated in batches. After a package is delivered to the warehouse, it may take up to 24 hours, or by the end of the next day, for the system to reflect the update. If two days have passed and you haven't received an update, please contact us immediately. Also, kindly double-check your address information.

For security reasons, we do not accept packages shipped without the registered name and correct mailbox number. Signing up for our service is free, and the mailbox number you receive should be kept confidential. All packages must match the registered name, and a valid government ID is required for pickup. Please be aware that failing to register and use our shipping address or using someone else's mailbox number will incur an administrative fee of JMD $1400 (subject to change at any time).

All packages passing through Jamaica Customs are opened and inspected by a customs officer to ensure the invoice matches the contents. They are then resealed with cello tape.

Unknown packages refer to shipments that lack the courier code in the address. To prevent this, it's essential to ensure all address details are provided, including the courier code (e.g., Obsidian Ebon Logistics) and the corresponding number assigned by the company. If a package is missing this information, it will be categorized as 'Wrong address.' Please note that if the package is misplaced or lost, we will not be held liable. Identification Process Packages that are not correctly labeled will be considered unfit for acceptance, and the warehouse reserves the right to refuse or discard packages with incorrect, incomplete, or wrong addresses. If your package is missing the courier code (e.g., Obsidian Ebon Logistics) and the corresponding number, we will need to conduct an investigation to locate it. To assist with the search, we will require the following information: Proof of delivery Tracking number Name on the package Date of alleged delivery Once our investigation is complete, if the package is located, a fee of JMD $450 will be charged to retrieve it and have it shipped in the next cycle. If the package cannot be found, neither the warehouse nor the company will be responsible for refunding the package.

Packages with weights not specified on the rate chart will be rounded up to the next weight category. For example, a package weighing 1.2 lbs will be charged as 2 lbs.
